Its a Sunday. Today is suppose to be a shopping day for us. As for breakfast, we went to Seaview Congee Shop (海景粥店) also can be known as Hoi Keng Congee Shop which is just next block from our hostel. Very easy to find because it is on Argyle Street itself. If you are staying in Dragon Hostel, just go out from the left entrance of Sincere House, cross the road its on that block opposite it along the Argyle Street.
Hoi Keng Congee shop, based on the name you know they are famous with the porridge. Other than that they also serve very nice Zha Leong (炸两) & Yao Zha Guai (油炸鬼). The Yao Zha Guai is really very HUGE LOL compare to ours is like more than double the size. We both ordered bowl of porridge for ourselves, yao zha guai and chi cheung fun with prawns.
Sorry didn’t get the full title of the shop. Sea view Congee Shop (海景粥店) also can be known as Hoi Keng Congee Shop. I really love this shop. Their porridge is really very nice and smooth (quite huge bowl). Plus their Zha Leong (炸两) & Yao Zha Guai (油炸鬼) is really very nice. Highly recommended. The branch that I tried is at Argyle Street
Getting up a little later than usual and get ourselves ready for the day. We take a walk down to the Goldfish Market, it is somewhere near Tung Choi Street (通菜街). Walked the wrong side actually before getting to the right one :P. Walking with so tiny map is not that easy. But they have very sufficient road signs so should be no problem. Today’s weather is the best. It’s getting slightly cooler than the hot weather we have encounter for the past few days.
Does this tunnel looks familiar? Haha it looks like the one we seen on those TVB drama once in a while
Very cute all the fish
Kam Wah Cafe (金华冰厅)
Kam Wah Cafe (金华冰厅) is a char chan teng located at 47 Bute Street, Mong Kok (太子弼街47号地下). They are famous with the Polo Buns as well as the Egg tarts. Today is the day we starts our Hong Kong adventure. Our adventure today is to go to Ocean Park (海洋公園). Woke up early in the morning, head to our first stop which is Australia Dairy Company (澳洲牛奶公司) for breakfast. Please note that you must go very early for breakfast else you will have to line up to wait for your seats. I choose this as our first breakfast spot coz today we are heading to Hong Kong Island (south). So its just on the way. We took the MTR from MongKok (旺角) to Jordon (佐敦) station.

Yung Kee Restaurant (鏞記酒家)
This shop supposedly very famous with their roast goose. They have different sets of menus as well as ala carte. If you go in groups then you can order their set dishes else order separately. If you don’t want to waste time waiting, make sure you make a reservation earlier especially if you go in large groups. Reservations must be made 7 days in advance. You can also make the reservation online. Else you would have to wait for quite some time before you get seated if you go without a reservation. The place I assume is always so packed with people during dinner hour.
I have seen reviews online stating that their roast goose are quite good. But when I ordered it, the outcome disappoints me. Well maybe just my luck. Coz based on the review I’ve found some really did said the food is nice, some stated that the food is not that nice. Maybe too many people or I’ve ordered the wrong goose? Heh I am not sure but well … at least I tried. Overall the food is ok especially the soup tasted quite good.
Australia Dairy Company (澳洲牛奶公司)
First breakfast I had in Hong Kong is at Australia Dairy Company. It serves dairy products, breakfast sets, drinks, etc.
Address (Eng): 47-49 Parkes Street, Jordan. (Chinese): 佐敦白加士街47
Directions: Take MTR to Jordan Station. Go out to the Exit C2. Walk straight and cross one road, this shop is located at the right side. Can see it very obvious because this shop has kinda big sign board.
Traveling around Hong Kong is very convenient with the available of MTR. Most of the time I travel around Hong Kong I used MTR and my legs heh. They consists of many different routes around Hong Kong Island as well as Kowloon and New Territories area. Each stations are quite complete with useful information such as various exits towards certain roads, sign boards in English and Chinese telling the roads the exit is leading us to, etc.

Wake up early in the morning get ready for breakfast. On the way to Senado Square we stop by Patio do Cotovelo (德隆新街) for Cheung Fun (肠粉). This place I found it from PreciousPea’s blog. Well she didn’t mention exactly how to get there but I got the area place by zooming one of her photo taken outside the alley :p.
