inOn a public holiday… what would you like to do? Probably do some cleaning, cooking, knittings etc.
Today I am cooking one of my favourite type of fried rice which is the mixture of bitter gourd, rice and eggs.
Ingredients:
– Eggs
– Overnight rice (so that you could feel the rice round instead of sticky)
– Bitter gourd
– Butter
Steps:
– Cut the bitter gourd into small pieces and leave aside.
– Break the eggs into a bowl. Add some salt and pepper into the eggs. Beat the eggs.
– Heat up the pan. Put in some soften butter. I put in about 2 tablespoon.
– Put in the bitter gourd and fry with the butter.
– When bitter gourd soften, put in the rice. Add some salt and pepper as per desire.
– Make sure well mix and cooked. When almost ready, pour in the beaten eggs.
– Slowly mixed them up until the egg is cooked.
Tada…. Fried rice ready

Cheaper by HKD20. We went to Hoi Keng Congee Shop for breakfast (cost: HKD50). I really love their porridge. Especially the pig blood porridge my favourite.
Today we ordered along with the Zha Leong (炸两)

Its a Sunday. Today is suppose to be a shopping day for us. As for breakfast, we went to Seaview Congee Shop (海景粥店) also can be known as Hoi Keng Congee Shop which is just next block from our hostel. Very easy to find because it is on Argyle Street itself. If you are staying in Dragon Hostel, just go out from the left entrance of Sincere House, cross the road its on that block opposite it along the Argyle Street.
Hoi Keng Congee shop, based on the name you know they are famous with the porridge. Other than that they also serve very nice Zha Leong (炸两) & Yao Zha Guai (油炸鬼). The Yao Zha Guai is really very HUGE LOL compare to ours is like more than double the size. We both ordered bowl of porridge for ourselves, yao zha guai and chi cheung fun with prawns.

Sorry didn’t get the full title of the shop. Sea view Congee Shop (海景粥店) also can be known as Hoi Keng Congee Shop. I really love this shop. Their porridge is really very nice and smooth (quite huge bowl). Plus their Zha Leong (炸两) & Yao Zha Guai (油炸鬼) is really very nice. Highly recommended. The branch that I tried is at Argyle Street

inGetting up a little later than usual and get ourselves ready for the day. We take a walk down to the Goldfish Market, it is somewhere near Tung Choi Street (通菜街). Walked the wrong side actually before getting to the right one :P. Walking with so tiny map is not that easy. But they have very sufficient road signs so should be no problem. Today’s weather is the best. It’s getting slightly cooler than the hot weather we have encounter for the past few days.
Does this tunnel looks familiar? Haha it looks like the one we seen on those TVB drama once in a while
Very cute all the fish

Today is the day we starts our Hong Kong adventure. Our adventure today is to go to Ocean Park (海洋公園). Woke up early in the morning, head to our first stop which is Australia Dairy Company (澳洲牛奶公司) for breakfast. Please note that you must go very early for breakfast else you will have to line up to wait for your seats. I choose this as our first breakfast spot coz today we are heading to Hong Kong Island (south). So its just on the way. We took the MTR from MongKok (旺角) to Jordon (佐敦) station.
